Repowering projects may raise questions about the decommission phase of the wind farm.
- What to do with all the material?
- Will there be a designated space to store this type of equipment?
- What will be the storage cost?
- Will the turbines be kept safely and properly?
If these questions are not answered before the project begins, the equipment could end up as scrap, resulting in the economic loss this entails.
It is essential to have enough time to carry out the three main phases:
- Transport
- Storage
- Sale of spare parts or complete turbines
Storage is key, as few of us have the capacity to handle and store them. At Aditae, we have a 10,000 m² workshop and cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 100 tonnes.
Selling requires market knowledge for each brand, model and condition of the turbine.
